Revanth Reddy seeks joint meeting with Railway Minister on Hyderabad Metro issues

Revanth Reddy has written to Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy, seeking a meeting with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss pending issues related to Hyderabad Metro Rail.</p> <p data-start="711" data-end="999">In a letter dated June 20, 2026, the chief minister referred to his earlier communication sent on June 16, 2026, in which he had sought intervention for the expeditious resolution of matters concerning Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) financing and Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-II.</p> <h3 data-section-id="i53lkx" data-start="1001" data-end="1040">Meeting proposed during Delhi visit</h3> <p data-start="1042" data-end="1202">Revanth Reddy said he would be in New Delhi on June 22 and June 23 and requested Kishan Reddy to arrange a meeting with the railway minister during that period.</p> <p data-start="1204" data-end="1359">He proposed that both leaders jointly meet Ashwini Vaishnaw to discuss issues related to the metro project and explore ways to resolve the pending matters.</p> <h3 data-section-id="fr5cs6" data-start="1361" data-end="1408">Metro project termed critical for Telangana</h3> <p data-start="1410" data-end="1591">The chief minister described Hyderabad Metro Rail as a critical urban infrastructure project for Hyderabad and Telangana and stressed the need for an early resolution of the issues.</p> <p data-start="1593" data-end="1835">He said the proposed meeting would provide an opportunity to place all relevant facts before the Union government. Revanth Reddy also stated that he would carry copies of relevant agreements and supporting documents to facilitate discussions.</p> <p data-start="1837" data-end="2132">The chief minister requested Kishan Reddy to arrange the meeting and inform him of the schedule.
